Jane’s has been involved in theater in Central Jersey for many years as a performer, director, and choreographer, as well as being responsible for lighting, running follow-spot, publicity, program, website design and maintenance, and helping with set painting, prop construction, sewing, ushering, and backstage. Her dance studies included ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and ballroom. She has taught ballet and tap for many years at local dance schools.


Her first venture into theater was as a dancer and chorus member for the Trenton Civic Opera Company’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. She returned to theater many years later as dancing chorus at the Open Air Theatre at Washington Crossing State Park (Anything Goes, Sound of Music) and Kelsey Theatre (42nd Street). She soon moved on to choreographing, including The Mystery of Edwin Drood and The Music Man at Kelsey and The Sound of Music, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (co-directed and choreographed), Oliver, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and Annie Get Your Gun at OAT. She has also choreographed Company in Northeast Philadelphia.

When Eastwind Airlines was at Mercer County Airport, she understudied the mascot character, the Eastwind Bee, for the airline (and went on several times!).

Jane serves on the Advisory Commission for Kelsey Theatre. She teaches a tap class at Kelsey Theatre’s Tomato Patch each summer, a theater camp for 5th through 12th graders. She also teaches an adult tap classes at Kelsey.

Jane serves as a board member and Resident Choreographer for Maurer Productions OnStage and has choreographed several productions for the company, including You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Lucky Stiff; It’s a Wonderful Life; The Emperor’s New Clothes; Singin’ in the Rain; and Man of La Mancha. She looks forward to directing Children’s Letters to God next year for Maurer Productions OnStage.
