Elizabeth is no stranger to Community Theater having been very active in NJ, PA and NY for about 13 years. A 2006 graduate of Montclair State University with a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance, Liz has recently begun pursuing her graduate studies in Arts Administration. By day, she is the Teaching Assistant and Department Administrative Assistant to the Music Department at Mercer County Community College, where she also is the Director of Voice for the Tomato Patch Performing Arts Summer Workshop, teaching all Vocal Majors, Musical Theater, A Capella and Vocal Ensemble. Behind the scenes she has been the Music Director for Bugsy Malone, Jr. and High School Musical 2, Jr. produced at Kelsey Theatre on the Mercer County Community College campus in conjunction with Tomato Patch and the Kelsey Players. She was highly active in the Delta Delta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota as President (and several other positions), receiving the Sword of Honor in 2006. She was also the recipient of the Presser Foundation’s prestigious Presser Scholar Award at Montclair State University.
Her very recent performances in NJ have included Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls (Off-Broadstreet Theatre), Luisa in The Fantasticks (Circle Players), and Lucy in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Somerset Valley Players). Primarily a performer at Kelsey Theatre, Liz has appeared as Anna Leonowens (The King & I), Ida (Honk!—2007 NJACT Best Actress in a Musical Nominee), Polly Peachum (The Threepenny Opera), Miss Dorothy Brown (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Antonia (Man of LaMancha), Miss Adams (Miracle on 34th Street), Young Sally (Follies), Jan (Grease), Katharina Cavalieri (Amadeus), and Liz (Godspell). Other favorite roles: Lily (The Secret Garden), Laurey (Oklahoma!), Carrie Pipperidge (Carousel), Grace Farrell (Annie), Lady Larken (Once Upon a Mattress), Rapunzel (Into the Woods). Operatic roles: Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance), Fifi (Mademoiselle Modiste), Elizabeth “Baby” Doe (The Ballad of Baby Doe), Ernestine Cauliflower (RSVP), and The Foreign Woman (The Consul). She has also performed with Boheme Opera NJ in Tosca (Shepherd Boy/Ensemble) and La Traviata (Ensemble). Liz is very excited to work with some old and new friends to help promote the arts and all theatrical collaborations across the state of NJ! |
