On September 21, 2008 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Summerset, NJACT presented Perry Awards in 33 different performance and technical categories. The awards for these categories are determined entirely on the basis of the numerical scores assigned by volunteer NJACT reviewers.
Note that through the 2008-2009 season, NJACT will determine the award for Outstanding Stage Management like all other performance and technical awards. However, beginning with the 2009-2010 season, Outstanding Stage Management will become a Special Perry Award determined by an NJACT board vote based on nomination letters and supporting materials submitted by producers and directors.
